The B-17 Flying Fortress 'Ye Olde Pub', serial 42-3167, is an American World War II heavy bomber with a glass nose, four Wright R-1820-97 radial engines, and a wingspan of 103 feet 9 inches. Equipped with multiple .50 caliber machine guns, it was designed for strategic bombing and defensive combat. The aircraft is presented in overhead air-to-air formations at Erickson airshows, showcasing historically accurate flight maneuvers, banking, and high-altitude performance. Its metal airframe, tail turret, and bomb bay are fully preserved.
