Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, registration 42-3167 and nicknamed 'Ye Olde Pub', is a U.S. World War II heavy bomber. Serving as a Pathfinder, it has a glass nose, mid-mounted wings, and four Wright R-1820-97 radial engines. Defensive features include a tail gunner position and dorsal turret. Captured in an overhead air-to-air perspective, the aircraft displays fuselage markings and wing structure. Preserved as a warbird at the Erickson Airshow, it represents historical military aviation and the technological design of 1940s bombers.
