Piemags Aviation Photography was created to showcase the power, heritage, and excitement of flight. Founded by aviation photographer and archivist Paul Fearn, Piemags brings together premium air-to-air imagery, modern military and civil aviation photography, and one of the largest privately curated aviation archives in the world.

Aviation has shaped Paul’s life from an early age. He joined the Air Training Corps at 12, followed by service in the Royal Air Force, where his connection to military aviation truly took root. After leaving the RAF to pursue photography full-time, Paul began capturing aircraft on military bases, at museums, and in operational environments around the world. Those early opportunities led to commissioned work for museums, heritage organisations, publishers and government departments.

Over the past decade, Piemags has grown beyond contemporary aviation photography to represent tens of millions of historic aviation images and videos, ranging from early pioneers of flight and both World Wars to Cold War jets, classic airliners, modern fast jets and commercial aviation. Our mission is to preserve these collections and ensure that contributors, collectors and museums receive a fair share of royalties and recognition.
