A U.S. Air Force Bell-Boeing CV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, serial 08-0050, flies during an air-to-air mission in support of U.S. Air Forces in Europe activities at USAFE Days 2023. The CV-22B is operated by Air Force Special Operations units and is designed for long-range infiltration, exfiltration, and resupply missions. The aircraft combines vertical takeoff and landing capability with fixed-wing flight. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce AE 1107C turboshaft engines that drive large proprotors mounted on rotating nacelles.
